At an early age Brent was able to see firsthand how a small business was run and gained knowledge within the trades through his dad. That knowledge is implemented into his business today. Fast forward, past his secondary education, he landed in sales/support, but Brent decided to return to his roots in the construction trades. SCS Building and Remodeling, LLC is 20 years old now, as Brent started part-time in 2001. Brent enjoys golfing, boating, re-purposing, and adventures with family and dogs.
Kacee has been with SCS for 4 years after transitioning from management in the transportation industry. Her favorite part of her position is supporting our employees and clients to meet their needs. She especially loves assisting with the design aspect of remodels. When she is not in the office, Kacee enjoys spending time with family and pets, traveling to warm places, taking photos of just about anything, and relaxing at home.
Mazee has almost 2 years of remodeling experience under her collar. Mazee’s favorite parts about her job are greeting people that come in the door, snoozing the day away, and getting her picture taken for SCS social media posts. When she’s not at work, she spends most of her time outside investigating, torturing her older brothers, going for walks, and chasing balls. Mazee’s motto is “Yes, please, I will have another treat!”
Conor has worked at SCS for 3.5 years but has been in and around construction his entire life. His first construction job was at age 8 working for his dad for $3 an hour. His favorite part of carpentry is seeing everything come together from an idea to the finished product. In his free time, he does blacksmithing, casting, metal fabrication, and custom woodworking. He loves learning new skills and utilizes them frequently. Conor has two beloved dogs and loves job-site dogs.
Joe came to SCS having been in the trades for 4 years and having grown up in the business, he has experience in concrete, excavation, commercial building, and residential remodeling. Joe’s favorite part of his job is watching all the small steps come together to form a quality finished product. In his free time, he enjoys reading and exercising.
After many careers from boiler-maker, tattoo artist, working on a permaculture farm in Maui to volunteering at the Pacific Primate Sanctuary and, working for a telecommunications company. Amazingly, in between some of these careers, he obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Madison Wisconsin in Sociology and German. Jesse’s favorite aspect of this job is the variety of skills it brings and the skills he has obtained with the virtually endless ideas customers bring to the table.
Ethan has been working at SCS for 2 years, beginning as part-time summer help until his recent graduation from high school. In those 2 years, Ethan has been immersed in several aspects of the remodeling process and has excelled. Ethan’s favorite part of his job is putting in flooring and working with everyone on the team. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and overall having a great time with friends and family.
Becky has been in the remodeling industry for approximately 10 years. She has a strong 20-year background in Administrative and Project Assistant roles. Her favorite part of her position is working with all the homeowners, our vendors, and our team. According to Becky, “No day is ever the same!” In her free time, she enjoys doing caregiving for kids with special needs, taking her two dogs to a variety of dog parks, spending time with her loved ones, hiking, painting, and reading books.
This is Blakes third summer working for SCS. His favorite part about the job is seeing the final products; done the right way. He graduated class of 2021 at Sun Prairie High School and will be attending the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Staying active is important for him, he plays tennis and golf in his free time. Aside from that, he competes in track and field as a sprinter.
